About Us

Deservity is a small clothing brand from Ottawa, Ontario, born in August 2025, with its first public appearance a couple of months later in October.

How It All Started

My name is Andris. I started Deservity as a way to connect with people around me to show who I am, what I do, and to get to know others better, to truly become part of the community. As someone relatively new to Canada, that means a lot to me. We are nothing without the people around us.

Another reason I created Deservity was to offer streetwear that helps people stand out through simplicity and minimalism. Everyone deserves to be seen, to stand out, and to feel special, while keeping it effortless and true to themselves.

To me, Deservity is also a way to discover what my skills are truly worth. Working on the brand keeps me humble, curious, and active. You can’t expect people to trust you if you don’t trust yourself first.

What is Deservity?

Deservity is a sign of personal growth. It's the moment you realize you have to act on your own to earn peace and that beautiful feeling of inner appreciation.

It’s an internal sense of being welcome, even when you weren’t invited.

It’s about pushing personal limits and accepting that there’s no finish line to perfection, because the work is always in progress. It’s the moment you give yourself permission to act, to risk, to try, to fail, to win, and to shine.

Every moment of self-revelation and self-awareness is a well-deserved victory that should be celebrated.

Through this brand, I want to share that winning sense of deservity with you.

Our first collection “Ottawa We Deserve” is a dedication to Ottawa.

It’s my personal statement of appreciation to the city we live in, the city we love, the city we miss when we leave, and the city we admire when we come back.

It’s that simple “tell me where you’re from without saying a word” kind of sense.

Every photo printed on a garment is a captured timeless moment, turning clothing into a piece of wearable art. With this collection, I wanted to share my admiration for Ottawa. And maybe some of you will even say:

“I recognize that little house on the Rideau Canal,” or “I love those autumn colors around the National Gallery,” or “I used to walk to work every day along that pathway between Kilborn and Walkley,” or even, “I hate malls, but Rideau Centre just looks monumental!”

Every captured moment in our memory has the potential to age like good wine, to turn recollections into nostalgia one day. And the idea behind this collection is to give you a sense of this emotion.
